Mat's DOC Band Update

We are officially graduated from the DOC band! On Mat's last visit we did an exit cast. This is done so that in the rare case of regression we would have a reference point. Regression, by the way, is extremely uncommon, so we're not remotely worried about it. We're glad to be done with all this casting business and weekly checks, but we are definitely sad to leave the girls at Cranial Technologies. They have been really great.

They gave us both of his previous head molds (great Halloween decoration potential), his exit photos, and a certificate of completion. It's hard to tell by the photos all the progress he has made, but if you ever come over for a visit, ask to see the molds. THAT is what will amaze you. In the photos, though, you can see that his left tilt has been corrected (that's not just him leaning sideways - he always kept his head like that) from the physical therapy. You can also tell in the very last photos how his forehead has evened out. His ears are still (and will always be) a bit uneven, but the nice thing is that it's really not that noticeable in person. Below is the link to view his photo study.
